Feel-good story from Summerland, BC

Volunteers Roy and Laura Roope have been out with signs and posters in the Kelowna area, and are having a lot of success with their signs and posters. Roy writes of his experience at Highway 97 near Summerland:

"The road experience is interesting - a substantial number of enthusiastic responses - honks, wave, thumbs up, etc....only three negative so far out of the hundreds and hundreds of cars and people. I try to look at the occupants and connect somewhat. Plan on a long time today because it's the best day. Yesterday I turn around and there is a young lady, around eighteen or so I guess, who is approaching me with a cup and a bag. She said she had seen me going to Penticton from Kelowna that morning and when she saw me again in the afternoon, she turned around and went to Tim Hortons and bought me an ice cappuccino and a donut. I was so knocked out by her kindness and her belief in the need for change at her age."
